ABOUT

Hello there! My name is Aki.

I’m a multimedia graphic designer currently based out of Eastern Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia region. With eight years of brand identity and marketing experience I can say that I am adaptive, punctual, detail-oriented and a master of organization.

My skills primarily focus around oversized print and digital collateral. Familiar with the four-color print process, I have executed projects ranging from packaging mechanicals, vehicle wraps, apparel, corporate stationary and various forms of promotional signage. In the digital space I design websites, apps, email newsletters, pop-up advertisements, social videos and high-resolution format images. I also love making digital art and grooovy playlists!

My initial start developed through logo design for the NAU Bike Club and small business owners in Arizona during my days in college. After graduating in 2014, I took my BFA in Visual Communications and moved to San Diego, where I eventually became the in-house Graphic Designer for Luna Grill restaurants. I spent a little more than half my time at Luna as a solo creative, allowing me to touch many mediums and expand my knowledge in design solution.

I gained a wealth during my career in San Diego, and what my experience has shown me is that being a designer is finding new ways to connect and stay connected to this ever-changing world. Everyday I strive to discover visual solutions to life’s problems. Design has always worked best when its easy to understand at a glance but minimal in its approach. I think Einstein said it best… “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler.”
